Black Rocks is a nice place to check out not far away. There are swamps here too, Bridges Swamp is not far away. From the top of Cat Mountain you get a great view of the surrounding area. York River is a pretty stream that is worth checking out. The Basin is a great place to stretch your legs a bit. Great hiking is available along the Shore Path Trail. If you're in a climbing mood you may want to go up on Groundnut Hill. you'll find Chases Pond which is a beautiful lake.
Take some time to visit York Woods while you're here. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Bridges Ice Pond. Scituate Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit. York Historic District is a great place to stretch your legs a bit. Take a look at nearby Hooper Swamp. Little River is a great place to visit. Long Beach is quite near if you're in a beach type of mood. Why not check out Chases Pond Dam while you're here. You get a great view from the top of Sewall Hill.
Lakes are great, Barrells Millpond is a lake that's close to Flagg's Trailer Pk. If you're into the whole hydro structure thing you can check out Scituate Pond Dam. Check out Southside Brook while you're here at Flagg's Trailer Pk. No need to travel far to check out interesting stuff like York Cliffs. An excursion to Millbury Ledge is always fun. Swamps like Cefalo Swamp are fun to visit. Young Hill is a great place to go up on if you want more of a bird's eye perspective on everything here around Flagg's Trailer Pk. Lakes? Sure, Godfreys Pond is right next door. Mayo Falls is a beautiful place to visit while you're at Flagg's Trailer Pk. What would a place like Flagg's Trailer Pk be without interesting nearby features like Dover Bluff.
