Description: Family fun, fun, fun in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains where you are surrounded by hardwood forests. Let the children play in the fresh water creek while looking for crayfish. RV, tents, big rigs & tip outs welcome. Choice level sites. 1300 acre playground, planned fun activities, volleyball, game room, horseshoe pits, bocce ball courts, mountain bike trails, 90 acre stocked pay fishing lake, rights of spring tall diving tower, world class water ski site with one of Ohio's premier water skiing/wakeboard instructional schools (intermediate), tournament Air Nautique tow boat, slalom course, sand beach, lake swimming-- super for the family or a quiet special outing. Buzzard's Hollow Express hayrides, enjoy a quiet family stroll in Keyhole Valley looking for snipe, race paddleboats, take canoes or kayaks and search for the great blue heron, or take a rowboat out bass fishing, hide the children in the giant tire playground. Franciscan University is 20 minutes and the Ohio River is 15 minutes away. Video available. Pet swimming area, pay showers, flush toilets, pit toilets, propane sales, laundry, firewood, snack bar, pavilion, dump station.

Directions:
We are closer than you think; 1&1/4 hours from Wheeling, WV and Youngstown, OH; 1 hour from Pittsburgh, PA; 1/2 hr from East Liverpool,OH and 20 minutes from Steubenville, OH. From Pittsburgh: Take Rt 22/30 West. Continue on Rt 22 West to Ohio and cross the Ohio River at Steubenville. Stay on Rt 22, for 4 miles. Take the Wintersville/Carrollton, SR 43 exit and turn right. Follow SR 43 into Richmond. Turn right onto SR 152 (at the bank) and go about 4 more miles until you see our lake entrance sign on the left.
From Grove City Area: (North of Pittsburgh) Follow I-79 South to Rt 60 Moon Run/Airport exit. Turn right. Follow Rt 60 until it turns into Rt 22 at Robinson Town Centre then follow above directions from Pittsburgh.
THE SCENIC ROUTE. From Columbus Area: Take I-70 East to I-77 N. Exit Rt 22 East. Follow Rt 22 then exit Wintersvile/Carrollton, SR 43 exit and turn left. Follow SR 43 into Richmond and follow above directions from Pittsburgh.
THE UTILITARIAN ROUTE. From Columbus Area: Interstate 70 East to Exit 225, Bridgeport SR 7, proceed to State Route 7 north. North of Steubenville, 7 and 22 are together. Take 22 West, exit State Route 43 Wintersville/Carrollton, turn right on SR 43 (approximately 4 miles) turn right on to SR 152 (Approximately 4 miles) Austin Lake entrance on left.
From Wheeling Area: Take I-70 west to Exit 225, Bridgeport, OH. Take SR 7 (north) to SR 22 West. Exit at the Wintersville/Carrollton Exit and turn right on SR 43. Follow SR 43 (north) into Richmond. Turn right on 152 (north), at the bank - 4 miles to lake entrance on left.
From Cleveland Area: Take 80 East to Exit 218, 15 Youngstown/Niles, just after the Lordstown GM plant, then to Rt 11 South to East Liverpool. Exit onto Rt 7 South. Exit at Rt 152 Richmond/Empire exit and go about seven miles to the lake entrance sign on the right.


Pet Policy:
For enjoyment of the pets, Austin Lake Park has a special pet swimming area. No humans just the pets.
