Description: This campground has shady, quiet RV and Tent sites under big trees along Chalk Creek. All RV sites have electricity, many are full hookups and there are also open and grassy sites. Let a campfire at night warm you while you lean back and count the stars above. This is a paradise for camera bugs and rock hounds. Beautiful mountain views. Be sure to check out the numerous, natural hot springs that are a unique part of any visit to Buena Vista. This is the closest commercial (modern) campground to the nearby public Princeton Hot Springs Resort.
Children will enjoy the playground, horseshoes, rec room and video games. Fish on the property's Chalk Creek or hike and four-wheel drive nearby. Don't forget to try a memorable whitewater raft trip down the Arkansas River. Rafting and facilities are just across the road. Horseback riding is minutes away. Sparkling clean restrooms, laundry and showers. Store with gifts, ice and wood are all here.

Directions: From Denver:
Take Highway 285 South approximately 110 miles. At the T intersection just past Johnson Village continue South on Highway 285 approximately 5 miles. Just past the Nathrop Post Office turn left onto County Road 197. Immediate right turn into the campground.
From Colorado Springs:
Take Highway 24 West approximately 90 miles. At the T intersection just past Johnson Village go South on Highway 285 approximately 5 miles.
Just past the Nathrop Post Office turn left onto County Road 197. Immediate right turn into the campground.
From the South:
From the junction of Highways 50 & 285 take Highway 285 North approximately 16 miles. Turn right onto County Road 197. Immediate right turn into the campground.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation of Individual RV & Tent Site Reservations:
Any cancellation will incur a $10 handling fee. If cancellation is not received at least 72 hours prior to 1 PM on the scheduled day of arrival charges equaling one night’s stay will be assessed.
‘No Shows’ are charged one night’s stay plus handling fee.
Early Departure:
For all reservations and accommodations:
Chalk Creek Campground & RV Park reserves the right to instill an early departure penalty. Early departures will be refunded any charges 72 hours past the early departure date.
Deposits/Cancellation/Payment:
Deposits are required for Groups, Monthly Reservations and Cabins. Contact the Campground for specific deposit policies

Reservation Information: Reserving Individual RV & Tent Sites:
A credit card is required to hold an individual reservation. This will not be charged until Check in at the campground. Note that your reservation is made for a specific type of camp site – the specific site may be changed by park management due to unforeseen circumstances.

Pet Policy: Pets
Dogs with responsible owners are welcome on individual sites.
Dogs must be kept on a 6 foot leash at all times and picked up after – every time!
Dogs may not be left unattended at any time or outside at night.
Sorry – No dogs are allowed on Group tenting areas or in the cabins at any time.
Campground Rules: All campground rules are given out to guest upon registration at the park office.
