Description: The campground is located 1.5 miles outside of town in a peaceful country setting only minutes away from a world of activities. You can raft on the river, hike in the mountains, fish in the streams or boat in nearby Glendo reservoir. If you fancy wildlife, we have it! Converse County has the largest population of pronghorn in the nation as well as herds of white tail and mule deer, elk and big horn sheep. Right on and within site of the campground you can enjoy the abundance of rabbits and antelope and......the occasional Jackalope. (But NO hunting allowed on the camping grounds!) Visit the Ayres National Bridge for a scenic lunch or climb Laramie Peak for a great workout! The nature is endless around Douglas!
