Description: Old Quarry Campground is a very special place to us and to the people that visit. We have kept the campground small so that it offers privacy and quiet, and designed it so that vehicles are kept away from most of the camp sites in the parking lot. Large garden carts are available to move equipment. Old Quarry Campground accommodates RV's over 28' only during the off season (from April 1 through June 30 and from September 6 through November 1) but popups and small RV's are always allowed in Site #1, Site #2, and Site #9 and the parking lot. We have water and electric on those sites. There is no sewer hook up nor dump station. Old Quarry campground also offers ten campsites for tent camping. Seven of the camp sites are in the woods, spread far apart so that you can have plenty of privacy on your Maine camping experience. One of these wooded sites is on the shore line (Ocean Site). Three of the camp sites are in an open area and are great for groups of campers or those wanting lots of sun while camping. Each camp site has a 12' x 12' tent platform, an 8-foot picnic table, 2 deck chairs, and a fire grill. Overflow sites without platform, fire ring, or picnic table, are also available. Firewood and lobsters are available at the camp store. Amenities in the campground include bathhouse with hot showers; laundry; public phone; a great swim pond; access to our Maine shoreline, dock, floats, and kayak launch sites; a camp store with food and sundries; and hiking at the adjacent Settlement Quarry Park, a historic Maine quarry that has a gorgeous view and wonderful signs to teach you about the workings of a quarry. We also have boat rentals including kayaks, canoes, rowboats, sailboats, and bikes. There are guided kayak trips, including half day, full day, and overnight trips lessons. We offer sailing lessons as well. Eco-tour boat rides on our lobster boat are available daily. Ferry service to Isle au Haut is available daily. We have outfitter services as well.
