Patten Pond Camping Resort    [Write a Review] [Save] [Upgrade Listing]

Description: Patten Pond Camping Resort is a family campground featuring swimming, boating, fishing, live entertainment and down-home hospitality. Patten Pond is centrally located in "Downeast" Maine; just eight miles from the town of Ellsworth and a leisurely drive to special coastal places like Campobello, Deer Isle and Mt. Desert Island. Enjoy the lake in a rented boat, canoe or kid-size paddle-boat, swim from our sandy beach, or just kick back and relax in an Adirondack chair on our private beach. Patten Pond is a 741-acre lake, chuck full of good-sized trout and bass. You can launch your canoe or kayak from our shore or put in trailer'd boats at the nearby public boat launch (some local restrictions apply). Take an early morning walk and listen for the yodeling calls of loons as they glide across the water. Watch for bald eagles and osprey as they hover over schools of fish, and the regal great blue heron stepping lightly among the reeds. And don't forget to watch for our most popular mascots - ladybugs! Summer days are filled with kids activities such as crafts, hay rides and movies. And on the weekends you will want to join us for a pancake and sausage breakfasts, the ice cream social and live entertainment in the "Purple Bug Club".
