Description: Lone Oak Campsites is a great family campground located in Northwestern Connecticut. Nestled in the charming region of the Berkshire foothills at the base of Canaan Mountain. Lone Oak is spread over 150 acres and has 500 campsites with a full range of hookup options. You can camp under the cool canopy of the woods or in a sun drenched field. In any case Lone Oak has a great campsite for you.
Lone Oak is just 4 miles east of Canaan, CT on Route 44 in the Northwest corner of the state.
•From Danbury take Rt. 84 East to Rt. 8 North. At the junction of Rt. 44 and Rt. 8 in Winsted take a right (heading west on Rt. 44). Lone Oak is approximately 14 miles on the left.
•From Hartford take Rt. 44 West. Lone Oak is approximately 1 hour on the left.
•From Springfield and Boston take the Mass Pike to exit 2 (Lee). Follow Rt. 102 to Stockbridge. Take Rt. 7 South (at the Red Lion Inn). Follow Rt. 7 to the center of Canaan. At the junction of Rt. 7 and Rt. 44 take a left (heading East on 44). Lone Oak is 4 miles on the right.
•From New York City take Rt. 95 North to Rt. 8 North in Bridgeport. At junction of Rt. 44 and Rt. 8 in Winsted take a right (heading West on Rt. 44). Lone Oak is approximately 15 miles on left.
Reservation Information: • All deposits are required within 7 days of making reservations.
• Peak time reservations - June, July, August weekends and holiday weekends, require a full payment in advance.
• Off time reservations - 1 night deposit is required on stays of less than 7 days and 50% deposit on 7 days or longer.
• Credit card payment required on reservations taken 21 days or less prior to arrival. Mastercard, Visa and Discover cards are accepted.
Pet Policy: We do allow pets to camp along with you. If a few guidelines are followed, your favorite companion can have a great time camping too.
• Pets must be on a leash at all times.
• No pet should be left at the site alone.
• There is a pet walk area down by storage. Please pick up after you pet while out for walks.
• Pets are not allowed in or around the rental or public buildings.
• We suggest you bring your pets updated rabies certificate with you.
