Description: Horton’s Camping Resort is a privately-owned family campground in the midst of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Our 40 acres of unspoiled countryside in North Truro features a variety of open and wooded sites, including many prime campsites with breathtaking panoramic views of Cape Cod Bay, Highland Lighthouse and nearby Provincetown. Your vacation at Horton’s will locate you as close as you can get to superb beaches, picturesque dunes, boating, fishing and bathing ... the perfect spot for rest and relaxation. Although parking permits are required for all town and National Park beaches, you may easily walk or bike to Coast Guard Beach (shown above) … just one mile away!

Directions: From the Sagamore or Bourne Bridge: Take Route 6 to the Orleans Rotary [approx. 35 miles from the Sagamore Bridge.] Continue on Route 6 to the Town of Truro [about 13 miles.] Approx 4½ miles past the Truro-Wellfleet town line you will see the Truro Central School on the right. Turn right after the school at the blue & white “Camping” sign onto South Highland Road. The campground entrance is one mile down on the right after the red barn [our office & store.] Please do not block the handicapped Parking Zone at the office.
Reservation Information: Please understand that this is strictly a Reservation Request Form. You do not have an actual reservation until it has been confirmed, and a reservation cannot be confirmed until your deposit has been received. If space is not available for the date(s) requested, we will convey our regrets. If space is available, we will send you a tentative confirmation, with a reference number and a link to a secure site where you will be asked to enter your credit card information to cover the necessary reservation deposit. (A minimum deposit of $50.00 per week for non-hookup and $75.00 per week for hookup sites is required for each reservation.) For this reason, it is necessary for you to include a valid e-mail address with all reservation requests, and it will be your responsibility to check your e-mail in a timely manner. If you fail to submit your credit card information within 48 hours of the time when your tentative confirmation has been sent, your initial reservation request shall be considered null and void.
Campground Rules: 1. REGISTER UPON ARRIVAL: OFFICE HOURS are 9 AM until 9 PM. It is important to register at the office upon your arrival before entering the camp. All camping fees are payable upon arrival. Only one camping unit and one vehicle are allowed per site. Park only in your assigned site; do NOT occupy another site without checking at the office first. All vehicles must have a valid I.D . sticker attached on the inside of the windshield on the passenger’s side where it is clearly visible. Additional vehicles are required to park in a designated area and pay a parking fee.
2. PLEASE do not park in handicapped parking spaces at the office or the restrooms.
3. GATE CARDS: A $20.00 deposit on an Access Gate Card is refundable upon return to the office when you check out. Gate Cards are NOT transferable and may not be used by unregistered vehicles.
4. CHECK-OUT TIME is 1:00 PM; LATE departure fees will be assessed. If you are planning on staying longer, check-in with the office prior to 11:00 AM to make sure that your site is not reserved. Be considerate of your fellow camper: LEAVE YOUR CAMPSITE AS CLEAN AS YOU WOULD LIKE TO FIND IT UPON ARRIVAL. A rake is available at the office.
5. GUESTS/DAY VISITORS: All visitors to campers MUST register upon arrival and pay an appropriate fee. Any additional vehicles will be required to pay a parking fee and park in a designated parking area. Day Visitors are required to leave the camp by 10:00 PM.
6. Only one picnic table per site. Please do not move tables from other sites. NO car [vehicle] washing! Water is precious on Cape Cod.
