Description: The Foothills Family Campground is located in Tamworth, NH - on Route 16 just north of White Lake State Park. We offer visitors a quiet and peaceful location to enjoy a vacation in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. With an abundance of activities and attractions, the White Mountains offers the perfect destination for a family vacation.The Foothills Campground awaits the opportunity to introduce you and your family to this beautiful and tranquil bit of New Hampshire.
The Foothills Family Campground offers a variety of campsites for both tents and RVs. All our sites are nestled in beautiful wooded areas under tall pine trees. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and a fireplace. Water and 20 and 30 Amp. electric and sewer hookups are available on all RV sites. For tenters we offer 15 attractive, primitive sites, 6 site with water and electric, and a limited number of walk-in sites. For those who enjoy camping but do not have their own trailer, we have rental trailers available for a family of four. You need only bring sleeping bags and food.

Directions:
From Points South - from Portsmouth, NH take 1st exit onto Spaulding Turnpike - NH-16 Approximately 62 miles.At intersection of NH-25W and NH-16, go approximately 4 miles north on NH-16.

From Concord NH - North on I-93 N. Take exit number 23 - the RT-104/RT-132 exit- - towards MEREDITH/NEW HAMPTON. Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto NH-104. Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto US-3. Turn RIGHT onto NH-25. Stay straight to go onto NH-16. Go left (north) on NH-16 approximately 4 miles.

From Portland ME - follow Brighton Avenue into Westbrook to ME-25. Continue on ME-25 to the NH border. Follow NH-25 to the intersection of NH-16. Go north on NH-16/25 approximately 6 miles. At the intersection of NH25W and NH-16N stay north on NH-16 approximately 4 mile.
Approximately 69 miles.

Pet Policy:
To insure that all campers have an enjoyable and safe stay with us we have instituted the following policy regarding pets.
1. All campers bringing dogs to the campground must present a copy of the dogs vaccination record at registration or before a seasonal permit will be issued. A copy of the shot record will be made and kept on file in the campground office.
2. All pets must be on a short leash at all times when in the campground. In the campsite pets must be on a secure leash or chain that will not permit them to extend off of the campsite in any direction.
3. Please walk your pet in the wooded areas along the main roads away from campsites. Please clean up all pet.droppings.
4. Please do not leave pets chained outside when leaving the campsite. Local kennels offer quality day boarding.
5. Any pet which is, in the opinion of the management, creating a disturbance, is being a nuisance, or is a danger to others shall immediately be removed from the campground by the owner when requested.
6. Visitors to the campground guests are not allowed to bring pets.
7. Please no more than two pets per site.
8. Please do not allow children to walk pets.
9. Pets are not allowed in the pool, recreation hall, bathrooms and other recreation and general use areas of the campground.
