We are approximately 5 miles south of Bloomington, IN by Fairfax State Recreational Area on Lake Monroe. (Please see the maps page for more precise directions.) Choose from primitive tent camping areas, R.V. camping with full hookups, and Cabins and A-Frames for those who prefer all the comforts of home in a rustic outdoor setting. New Laundromat with plenty of double-load washers and dryers. Our guests can enjoy all of our outdoor playground facilities, which include a wide variety of games and activities. Our guests will have access to our huge pool and Jacuzzi tub; as well as a mile hiking trail in the woods leading to beautiful Lake Monroe.

From Cincinnati, Ohio (Interstate route) Take 74 West to 465 South till the 37 South Bloomington exit (Harding street exit) Approximately 50 miles to Bloomington.
From Cincinnati, Ohio (US 50 Route) 118 miles : Take 275 until you come to 50 West. Stay on 50 West until you reach Bedford. Go all the way through Bedford until you come to Highway 37 North. Stay on 37 north until you see Monroe Reservoir/Harrodsburg exit.
From Evansville, Indiana 116 miles : Take 57 North to 64 East. Get off at 231 North. Stay on 231 north to Loogootee, Indiana Take 50 east to Bedford. Get on 37 north and exit at the Monroe Reservoir/Harrodsburg Exit. See Monroe Reservoir/Harrodsburg exit below.
