Description: Mount Desert Narrows Camping Resort is ideal for families of all sizes and ages who want to be on Mount Desert Island, near Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Mount Desert Narrowsmtnarrow features water front tent and RV sites, a playground with horseshoes, volleyball, basketball and play structures, a heated swimming pool and an arcade. Our camp store is well stocked with everything from snacks to repair parts. And our friendly staff is always ready to help with your travel needs
* Take Interstate 95 to Bangor.
* Take Exit 182A (formerly Exit 45A) to Interstate 395 East.
* Take Route 1A South, to Ellsworth.
* Continue on Route 1A through Ellsworth.
* Route 1A will become Route 3 East when you cross Main St. Stay in right lane and continue for about 10 miles.
* After crossing a short bridge onto Mt. Desert Island, go left at the fork (towards Bar Harbor).
* Go for about a mile and watch for Mt. Desert Narrows Camping Resort on the left.
From Coastal Route 1:
* From the South: Continue on Route 1 through Ellsworth on Main St.
* At the second traffic light, turn right on Route 1A.
* Route 1A will become Route 3 East. Stay in right lane and continue for about 10 miles.
* After crossing a short bridge onto Mt. Desert Island, go left at the fork (towards Bar Harbor).
* Go for about a mile and watch for Mt. Desert Narrows Camping Resort on the left.
# From the North: Turn left (south) on Route 3.
# Stay in right lane and continue for about 10 miles.

Cancellation Policy: A refund on cancelled reservations will be issued when received at least 14 days in advance of scheduled arrival date, less the cost of one night. If less than 14 days' notice, the deposit is forfeited or you may request a rain check. Cancellations cannot be processed without a confirmation number. Reservations are made on a back-to-back basis; extensions may require a change of site. No refunds for early departures.
Reservation Information: RESERVATIONS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED FOR JULY AND AUGUST
Site Requests: WE CANNOT GUARANTEE SPECIFIC SITES. Sites are booked- 1st by length of stay, 2nd by date reservation is confirmed. We will make every effort to honor your site requests. It is our policy not to give out assigned site number(s) until arrival.
Funds: We accept cash, money orders, Traveler's Checks, MasterCard, Visa and Discover Card. Personal checks are only accepted as advance deposits.
Reservation Minimum: Advance reservations require a minimum three night stay in July and August.
Deposits: A deposit of $100 for three nights, $150 for four to seven nights or $200 for eight or more nights is required. We guarantee site categories, but not specific sites. The Acres Tenting area is first-come-first-served.
Pet Policy: Pets must be kept quiet, under control, and on leash at all times. They must be cleaned up after, may not be left in the campground unattended and are not allowed in any of the buildings.
Campground Rules: All visitors must register and pay in advance before entering the campground. (The fee will be refunded if visitors leave within 1/2 hour.) Day visitors are not allowed to enter after 8:00 P.M. All day visitors must check out by 9:00 P.M. Senior citizens may visit for free. Visitors are welcome to use all campground facilities but they may not bring pets.
