From Jct US 221 and NC 88 and NC 16, go 5 miles North (1 mile past Shatley Springs) (Right) South Overpass Ramp, to Old 16, then North (Right) 1 mile to Chestnut Hill Road (Right), then 2 miles to George McMillan Road (Left), then 1.5 miles to the New River (Right), cross bridge. Open: April 15 - Nov 1. 38 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains, between the New River State Parks. Sites: Some along the South Fork New River, bathhouse, picnic gazebo and shelter. Primitive tent sites along Kings Creek, bathhouse and water locations. Country store (ice, beer and wine), laundry. Recreation: canoe, kayak, tube and fishing boat rentals. Volleyball, horseshoes, playground, and 9 miles from Blue Ridge Parkway.
