Description: With enough camping experience and luck, every once in a while you will discover a truly extraordinary place to camp where all of the “essentials” just seem to fall into place. This ideal campground, in addition to having a great location and a full range of facilities, will have all of the little extras that combine to make a great vacation experience. Extras like a lake which is sure to attract swimmers, boaters and fishermen, beautiful landscaping in a natural setting, and a way of just naturally attracting fellow campers who are the kinds of friendly folks that you would like to have living down the road from your home. Mi-Te-Jo is one of those rare finds in campgrounds.
Mi-Te-Jo Campground is located on Northeast Pond. This 778 acre pond is long and narrow and feeds into 2 other ponds, Milton Pond and Town House Pond, which are accessible by boat. These two ponds contain another 371 acres. Together, the three ponds make up an area known as Milton Three Ponds. These ponds are popular for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, pickerel, horned pout and perch fishing, with rainbow and brown trout found in the deeper areas of the lakes. Fishing licenses may be purchased at the local fishing store for those 16 years and older. The lake is also enjoyed by those who go tubing and waterskiing, or who would prefer to just relax on the water. The two beaches at Mi-Te-Jo Campground are large sandy beaches. They have a gentle slope, comfortable for families with young children.
In addition to daily, weekly and seasonal campsites, we also offer cabin rentals for those who are new to camping. And we’re computer friendly, with a phone line for you to plug into to check your e-mail while you’re away from home. With all that we offer, it’s time to stop searching and to start enjoying the real spirit of camping! |
