About 45 minutes west you will find Mobile, Alabama, and about 45 minutes east you will find Pensacola, Florida, both large port cities, featuring all the amenities you would expect including malls, restaurants, shopping centers, museums and much more.
If you don't need all that a large city offers, but just want to be surrounded in a friendly hometown atmosphere, Foley offers a variety small shops, the Tanger Center - a 130 outlet store outdoor mall - plenty of restaurants, and museums and many other attractions. If you decide to skip the shopping and go directly to the beach, but want to avoid all the commotion of uptown Foley, you can take the Foley Beach Express, a newly constructed toll road, located about 1/8 of a mile from the park. The Beach Express charges a small fee for use of the bridge, but is well worth it for all the time you will save.
Optional phone lines are available on most of our sites. There is an air-conditioned andheated bathhouse and laundry facility (handicap accessible), a fishing pond with a paddleboat, and a gazebo overlooking the pond. Across the lake is a 2000 sq. ft. clubhouse, which is capable of seating 125 comfortably. This clubhouse has a kitchen, games, and an open area for special events of your choosing such as singings and potluck dinners etc. There is also a mini-storage warehouse available on-site with 68 storage units of varying sizes. |
