Description: Set on 89 acres of beautiful woods and hills, Hillside is the perfect spot
for a bluegrass festival. There's plenty of shade, several picking
sheds and a natural amphitheatre with a covered pavilion. The first
Hillside Bluegrass Festival was held in the spring of 1991 and has since
become legendary in Middle Georgia as well as within the
Bluegrass Community. As each festival has come and gone
the crowds have grown larger and so has the campground.
There are now over 220 hookups (water & electrical up to 50 amps)
and plenty of restrooms and showers. The festival is now one
of the most popular bluegrass events in the Middle Georgia area,
drawing fans and pickers from all over the country.
Hillside is a prime retreat for camping, RVing, and vacationing. The park is open
year round, with over 220 hookups, fully serviced with water and electricity (up to
50 amps). The park boasts of a fishing pond, amphitheater, at the site, along with a
indoor kitchen and dining room. We also have a circle dirt track (formerly a go-
cart track) for recreational fun. The campground is adjacent to "The Woods", a
pro quality 27 hole golf course and is convenient to all of Middle Georgia's favorite
attractions. We will be happy to help you plan and present outdoor gatherings
for your business, club, or organization.
