Enota Mountain Retreat    [Write a Review] [Save] [Upgrade Listing]

Description: Enota is the perfect mountain escape to spend time with your friends and family. Enota is non-profit conservation facility committed to preserving our beautiful land with a limited number of accommodations including cabins, full hook-up RV sites, pop-up & tent sites and a Retreat Center for conferences, groups, events and seminars. Enota is rated to be in the top 100 camping destinations in the country. Enota is in a lush valley among the highest mountains in North Georgia, in the shadow of Brasstown Bald whose elevation is 4780'! Enota is centrally located between White, Union & Towns counties and the towns of Helen, Blairsville, Hiawassee and Young Harris. All the delicate beauty of nature has been preserved, with four breathtaking waterfalls, five bubbling streams and two trout ponds. We are surrounded on all sides by the mountains of the Chattahoochee National Forest. One of our streams flows from a beautiful two-stage waterfall that is nearly 400 feet tall while another cascades 125 feet from an old stone dam that retains a small, clear pond; a perfect place to relax, reflect, and enjoy nature. Paths from long ago wander about the Retreat and into the forest. Follow one of the old logging trails (approx. 1.5 miles ) right up Clay Gap, to the Appalachian Trail which is just above Enota Mountain Retreat Center and Sanctuary. Drop by the beautiful old restored Lodge and share the warmth from the huge stone fireplace, shop in Enota's fair-trade gift shop and stop by our restaurant for home-cooked meals. Enjoy the quiet nature of Enota's sixty acres by relaxing in your accommodation near the cool refreshing flow of gentle waters and soothing ponds. Get to know friends you've never met or spend quiet moments with loved ones!!
