Description: Oak Knoll Family Campground is a family campground located on the west side of Michigan, only 12 miles east of Lake Michigan. The surrounding cities include Fremont, Montague/Whitehall and Muskegon. The park's location offers easy access to the many big city and outdoor attractions in the surrounding the area, including shopping centers, casual dining, golf courses and more. Also, there are amusement/water parks, biking, hiking, horse back ridding, boating, and more. This campsite offers an opportunity to make the best out of your visit, business or pleasure.
The amenities offered at Oak Knoll Family Campground include a modern bathroom facility with hot showers, laundry room and dish washing station, camp store and pavilion. Enjoy our playground, tetherball, basketball, and volleyball. A rental cabin or trailer is available for those traveling without an RV or tent. The campground is open seasonally, from early May to mid-October, for your camping enjoyment.
Oak Knoll Family Campground's first priority is providing quiet, peaceful, deep woods camping. There are picnic tables with a fire ring and shade on every camp site. There are many activities to enjoy while staying at this campground. Enjoy canoeing on the White River, the livery is located 1.5 mi. from the camping grounds. Enjoy the area's many festivals and special events thru out the season. Outdoor sports and games include volleyball, basketball, and tetherball. Big Blue Lake is located across from the campground and offers great fishing, boating and water-skiing.
Pets are more than welcome at the Oak Knoll Family Campground as long as the owners take full responsibility of their animals and do not leave them unattended. It is your responsibility to clean up after your animals and they should be on a leash at all times that measures 6' or less. No unhealthy, vicious or exotic animals are welcome. Pets are not allowed in the bathrooms, laundry room or on the playground.
Directions: North Directions :
From Muskegon: Take US-31 north to Russell Rd. (also known as B-23) (121 mile marker) exit, turn right and follow B-23 10 miles to Fruitvale Rd.(B-86). Turn right. 1 mile on the left side of the road you will find Oak Knoll Family Campground.
South Directions :
Take US-31 South from Ludington. Exit at Fruitvale Rd. exit, which is also known as B-86. Turn left (East) onto B-86. Follow B-86 toward Fremont, Michigan approximately 11 miles to Oak Knoll Family Campground located on the left side (north side) of the road.
Caution Note: After turning left onto Fruitvale Rd./B-86, only follow the B-86 signs toward Fremont, MI. The Fruitvale Rd. name changes often during the next 11 miles and is not reliable, but the B-86 name is reliable all the way to the campground.
West Directions :
Take I-96 West to Muskegon. Leave I-96 West by taking the exit 1-B (to Ludington) to US-31 North. Exit US-31 at the Russell Rd. exit (Mile marker 121) and go north (right) on Russell Rd. Take Russell road until it ends (Approx 10 miles) at Fruitvale Rd. Turn right (east) onto Fruitvale Rd. Go 1 more mile to Oak Knoll Family Campground located on the left side (north side) of the road.
Pet Policy: Pets are more than welcome at the Oak Knoll Family Campground as long as the owners take full responsibility of their animals and do not leave them unattended.
