Description: Otter Creek Park is one of the treasures of the Louisville and Jefferson County Metro Parks system. Otter Creek's 2,600 acres offer an abundance of outdoor experiences. The park is located approximately 25 miles southwest of downtown Louisville along the Ohio River in Meade County, Kentucky. It is accessible from Dixie Highway, just 14 miles south of the Gene Snyder Freeway
Directions: From the North
Take I-65 through Louisville, and exit at #125 onto the Gene Snyder Freeway (841) West.
Take the Fort Knox Exit (Exit 1).Turn left at the stoplight.Follow this road (31W or Dixie Highway), for 13.5 miles, to Muldraugh KY.
At the stoplight in Muldraugh, turn right onto KY Highway 1638 and continue to Otter Creek Park (2.8 miles on the right).
From the West
If you are coming from the west on I-64, you can get off at Corydon IN (exit 105) and avoid the Louisville traffic.
Turn right (south) onto IN SR 135 for 16 miles. Cross the Matthew E. Welsh Bridge over the Ohio River.
Continue going straight for 4.8 miles, until the road ends in a T. Turn right onto KY SR 448 East, and go 1.2 miles.
Turn left onto KY Highway 1638 and go 6.5 miles. Turn left into the main entrance of Otter Creek Park.
From the South
Take I-65 North to Elizabethtown KY and exit at #91.Get on 31W (Dixie Highway) North and go 22.1 miles to Muldraugh KY.
At the stoplight in Muldraugh, turn left onto KY Highway 1638 and follow this road to Otter Creek Park (2.8 miles on the right).
From the East
Follow the Gene Snyder Freeway (841) to the Fort Knox Exit (Exit 1).
Turn left at the stoplight. Follow this road (31W South or Dixie Highway) for 13.5 miles to Muldraugh KY.
At the stoplight in Muldraugh, turn right onto KY Highway 1638 and continue to Otter Creek Park (2.8 miles on the right).
Campground Rules: All vehicles must display either a permit or car pass in front window.
Checkout time is 4 p.m.
Two vehicles permitted per site.
One unit (tent or camper) per site.
Camping fee is non-refundable.
Visitors welcome with pass between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Quiet time is 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Operation of bicycles, motor bikes, golf carts, and mopeds are permitted from dawn to dusk on paved roads only. Please see safety and etiquette rules posted at Campground Check-In Station.
No ATVs or go-carts permitted.
Pets must be kept on a leash. Use pet walking area.
Dump waste at Dump Station only.
No firearms or hunting.
No fireworks or explosives.
No cutting of trees or bushes.
Collection of downed, dead wood is permitted.
Chainsaws prohibited.
15 m.p.h. speed limit enforced.
No washing of vehicles at campsite.
Horses are permitted in Equestrian Camping area only.
No alcoholic beverages on park premises.
Campfires in existing fire rings only.
