Description: Attracting hundreds of thousands of tourists annually, Mammoth Cave and the land above it was designated a National Park by the federal government in 1941. It is the longest known cave system in the world with over 350 miles of passageways and underground river systems. In 1981, the area became a World Heritage Site and was designated an International Biosphere Reserve by the United Nations in 1990 because of its unique environment and ecology. In many ways, Mammoth Cave National Park is really two parks in one with the serenity and solitude of the caves below ground and the rugged beauty of over 80 square miles of forests, wildlife, rivers, and trails above. Reservation Information: All Campsites, Cabin Rentals, and Bunkhouses require an advance reservation and deposit to guarantee your stay. All discounted or reduced price weekends will require advance pre-payment of charges to guarantee the reservation. All reservations require a seven (7) day notice of cancellation for full refund less a $5.00 administrative fee. Sorry… but we do not give refunds due to inclement weather or other acts of Nature
Our facility is very family oriented and appropriate conduct is required at all times! Alcohol consumption is allowed only at your site and moderation is expected at all times. Loud, rowdy or other inappropriate behavior of any kind will result in your removal from the park without benefit of any site refund
Pet Policy: Pets are allowed at your sites, but must be on leash at all times. In consideration of all guests, barking can not be tolerated and animals must accompany the owners when they leave the Resort property. Owners are liable and responsible for cleanup of all pet wastes. Pets are not allowed in any of the Rental Cabins by order of the Kentucky and the local Barren County Health Department
Campground Rules: Holiday weekends require a minimum three (3) day charge for all accommodations. No discounts apply and full pre-payment is required with your reservation. Non-holiday Cabin and Bunkhouse reservations require a minimum two (2) day charge. All Rental Unit reservations for more than two (2) nights are firm and no refund will be allowed for early departures. Cabin rentals for one (1) night are occasionally available on a "Spot" or "Walk In" basis as vacancies allow. Be sure to check with our Reservationist for any available dates Cabin rental rates are based on published occupancy limits. Additional persons above these limits are not allowed at any time. Please be advised that linens, cooking utensils, and dishes are not furnished with rental units. Rental units are expected to be left in reasonably clean condition and charges will be assessed for extraordinary cleaning or damages
