Description: Located in-between Harlan and Cumberland within Harlan County in Eastern Kentucky. We are exactly 8.2 miles North of Harlan, KY, and about 12 miles South of Cumberland, KY. Harlan County Campground and RV Park is also located at the Putney trailhead for the Black Mountain Recreation Park in Harlan County, Kentucky, this means you can ride from where you park. BMRP was picked #1 by ATV Pathfinder members as well as was a "Top 50 ATV Destination of 2004! We welcome all ATV and Off-road enthusiasts as well as tent campers and RV's. We have 138+ acres of land set aside especially for camping, parking, RV's and rental cabins. For Parking our 3.5 acre lot right next to Hwy 119 is extremely convenient since Black Mountain Recreation Park's trail #45 runs through it. Just park and ride...And don't forget food and gas is conveniently located just 3/10th's of a mile away at Putney Crossroads Store.
Directions: From Knoxville, TN : Take I-75 North to exit #134 onto US-25W NORTH toward La Follette/Jacksboro. Follow TN-63 until you reach Cumberland Gap Parkway. Turn left onto Cumberland Gap Parkway (25-E North). Follow 25-E North for about 13 miles until you see the Happy Mart. Turn right onto US 119 North and follow it for 33 miles. When the comes to an end at a T intersection with a red light take a left onto Hwy 119 North and follow it for 8.2 miles and you will see the campground on the right about 3/10 mile before the Putney Crossroads gas station. You can't miss the bright white sign next to the entrance gate.
From Louisville, KY : Take I-64 East towards Lexington. Continue for about 75 miles until you reach I-75 South toward Richmond/Knoxville. Take exit #29/US-25E toward Barbourville/Corbin. Turn left onto Cumberland Gap Parkway (US 25-E). Follow 25-E South for about 30 miles until you see the Happy Mart on your left. Take a left at the red light onto US 119 and follow it for 33 miles.
