Description: Twin Hollow Campground & Cabins are located on a reclaimed surface mine on a beautiful mountain top.We are located approximately 2 miles from the town of Gilbert, West Virginia on route 52. Our facilities have DIRECT ACCESS to the Browning Fork / Rockhouse Trails of the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System. By camping with us you will be able to park your RV and/or set up your tent, then ride the trails without having to load and unload your ATV. As an added convenience you are also allowed to ride the public road into the nearby town of Gilbert on your ATV.
Whether you are camping for relaxation or to ride the trails, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere at Twin Hollow Campground.
Directions: From Charleston, WV: Driving south on Rt. 119 take the Logan exit (Wal-Mart). Follow Rt. 73 east 2.6 miles. Take Rt. 10 south 14.5 miles to Man, WV. Take Rt. 80 south 11.8 miles to Gilbert, WV. Take 52 north through Gilbert 1.7 miles. Twin Hollow entrance second right past Gilbert Middle School.
From Charleston, WV: Driving south on Rt. 119, take the Logan exit (Wal-Mart). Follow Rt. 73 east 2.6 miles. Take Rt. 44 south 16.5 miles. Make a left turn on Rt. 52 south travel 7.7 miles. Twin Hollow entrance left turn past Pioneer Bank.
From Williamson, WV: Take 52 south for 29 miles. Twin Hollow entrance is the first, left turn past the welcome to Gilbert sign.
From Beckley, WV: Take exit 42 (Rt. 97W/16S) for 3.7 miles. Turn right onto 97W/54S travel 13.6 miles. Rt. 97 makes a right turn. Stay on 97W for 34.7 more miles. Turn right onto 52 north, travel 8 miles. Twin Hollow entrance is the second, right turn past Gilbert Middle School
Cancellation Policy: In the event you must cancel your reservation, a two-week cancellation notice is required. Your deposit will be refunded less 10% of the total charge. If you cancel at least thirty days in advance, a 100% refund of the deposit will be issued. In the case of a no-show, no refund will be issued
Reservation Information: A deposit equal to 50% of your stay is required to confirm a reservation. The deposit must be received within 10 days of the request in order to guarantee availability
Pet Policy: You must register your pet when you check-in. Pets must be on a leash and not left unattended. Please keep them quiet and under control. It is your responsibility to pick up after them. We prohibit any dog with a prior bite incident, regardless of the situation. We strictly prohibit all Pit Bulls, Doberman Pinchers, Chow-Chows, and Rottweilers.
Campground Rules: "Registration: Guest please register at the campground office upon entering the campground. Guest filling out the registration form will be held accountable for all members of their group, including visitors. Sites: Maximum of four adults per site. Maximum of six people per site, including children. Maximum of two vehicles (2 vehicles or 1 vehicle and 1 pull cart). Maximum of one camping unit (1 tent or 1 trailer). ATV's: Children under 16 must be accompanied be a parent or legal guardian at all times. Obey Hatfield-McCoy Rules and Regulations. Keep on graveled road as you access the trail. No riding back and forth through campground area (children at play). Speed limit: Maximum 10 mph through campground.
Water: Please help us conserve water. No washing vehicles, ATV's, trailers, etc. on site. Day Visitors: Must leave the campground by 9:00 pm or they will be considered staying for the night and will pay accordingly. Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 11 pm to 7 am. Children under 18 will be on site by 11 pm unless accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. For security purposes gates will be locked at 11 pm. Campfires: We want you to enjoy your campfire, but please keep campfires in fire rings provided on each site. Fires must be attended at all times. Obey WV Burn Law. Please do not burn glass, cans, nor paper in fire ring. Tables/Grills: We provide 1 picnic table and 1 fire ring/grill for each campsite. Please do not move them to another site without permission. Personal Conduct: Please be considerate to others. Disorderly, ill-mannered conduct or drunkenness will not be tolerated. Parents are responsible for their children's behavior at all times. Trees: Cutting trees and shrubs is prohibited. Firearms
