Balsam Cove Campground    [Write a Review] [Save] [Upgrade Listing]

Description: We pride ourselves on being just big enough to offer the amenities you need; yet small enough to assure your stay with us is the quiet, serene camping experience you desire. Balsam Cove Campground is uniquely located on a peaceful lake setting, yet only a short distance to the ocean; to Ellsworth, ME - the gateway to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park; and to Bangor (one of Maine's major cities) for shopping malls, theaters, restaurants, etc. At Balsam Cove Campground, you're close enough to enjoy the 'hustle and bustle' of these nearby attractions - but can look forward to returning to a quiet and peaceful lakeside setting at the end of your day's activities. We've found Toddy Pond to be one of downeast Maine's "best kept secrets". One visit to its shores and you'll understand why. Besides the beauty, the size, and the unique characteristics of the lake, you'll often see the loon, the Canada goose, mallard duck, and an abundance of deer and other wildlife which live among us. Landlocked salmon, trout, largemouth and smallmouth bass make fishing Toddy very worthwhile.
