Description: Arndt's Aroostook River Lodge and Campground should be considered your "Home away from Home". We're located in scenic & friendly Presque Isle, Maine in the northernmost region of Aroostook County. Our unique recreational camping facility offers the best in wild, native brook trout fishing, canoeing, big & small game hunting or just plain "family camping"! Your enjoyment of our establishment and the surrounding natural environment is of the utmost importance to us. Arndt's Aroostook River Lodge and Campground is situated on the banks of the Aroostook River, just 4 miles from the commercial center of Presque Isle. Families staying at our campground can take canoe trips ranging from only a few miles for the novice, to overnight trips starting at the headwaters of the Aroostook River seventy miles away. We have a canoe livery and a shuttle service to take you upriver for a leisurely float back to the campground. Our full service campground facilities include 45 R. V. sites with water & electrical hook-ups, 20 tent sites, a 20 ft. X 40 ft. in-ground pool, a dump station, laundry & shower facility, campground store, a recreational hall and 10 full service sites with water, electric & sewer hook-ups. We also have a four person rental cabin available at the campground. The cabin features two double beds(no linens), a small corner table and an electric light. Water is only about 20 feet away, and bathroom facilities are available in our bath house, which is only a short walk. We maintain several remote cabins approximately 25 miles from our main lodge. These secluded camps are available for those outdoor enthusiasts that desire a wilderness experience when either hunting and fishing or just plain relaxing far away from it all!
