Comments:
This is a free campground, but, a $10 entry fee is needed to be in the Park, good for a week. It is located nicely to tour the park, take your best hiking boots, the lava is not the easiest to walk on. The campground has nice restrooms, but no hot water. Part of the campground does have hot showers, but they are suppost to be for folk who rent the wooden "tents", at $50+ a night. Picnic tables are provided at this wooded campsite, and firelaces. All the volcano hikes are very close by, it is an inexpensive way to see this part of Hawaii
