Short Summary
The best kept secret of the Finger Lakes!
Comments:
The thing that struck me about Bristol
Woodlands is that it's so peaceful--unlike a lot of campgrounds these days that have become so highly commercialized you think you're camping at the mall. The setting is awesome--you're high on the mountaintop away from it all. The sites are huge by most standards and the campground was well-maintained; the inground swimming pool has a breathtaking view around it and it is surrounded on the outside with flowers and plantings. The tent sites are separate from the RV sites and sit up on the hill. The cabins have AC/heat, which is a nice feature. The playground looked fairly new. Unlike a lot of campgrounds which are a free for all on rules and policies, rules such as speed limits are actually enforced! Families, especially with small children, should appreciate this. All in all, Bristol Woodlands is truly a jewel of the Finger Lakes. We really didn't want to leave.
