Comments:
First time camping, we rented a trailer for 3 days and tried Wild Duck as our first location (less than 1 hr from home).

We were greeted warmly on arrival and escorted to our campsite. Many larger rigs were on the property, but we had the peninsula to ourselves as we were a small unit. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Lots of wildlife - many herons, ibises, ducks and (huge) frogs. Surprisingly not many flying insects (yea).

Public facilities were spotless. First day rain, but no problems with puddles or standing water. Nice access to marsh for kayaks and canoes - will bring ours next time.

Everyone we spoke with there seemed happy with the location and services offered. Have since bought our own travel trailer and are planning a return trip hopefully before the season ends in Oct.
