Short Summary
Comments:
This camping experience was like no other! Bathrooms are CLEAN, campsites are big, owners are very nice, never over crowded, and the list could just go on. Dogs are allowed and WILL enjoy it here! We have a Cockapoo and a Husky and they had a great time walking on trails and we even took them swimming! Not a place to bring your children if you are looking for provided entertainment or activites. There is the River you can drive 5 min.s up the road from the campground and float down it on an innertube, (not provided by the campground, bring your own), canoe, or kayak. It takes about an hour to float down, but its very relaxing and enjoyable. Beautiful scenery, untouched nature! We even brought a floating cooler down with us with a few drinks. Water is not rough, some parts of it runs fast, and then sometimes you have to paddle yourself. When you come to a split in the river ALWAYS stay to your LEFT! Not sure where you end up if you go to the right. All you have to do is look for the Covered Bridge to know that is your stop to get off at. You can also drive around and find different trails you can drive on, but they are not marked trails and there is always fishing. At night we went "Moose Hunting". Not really hunting just drive around with a nice bright flashlight and point it into the woods and there you will see deer and moose, but you have to have a good eye for it. Driving at night was scary up there. We had Moose, Deer, and Foxes just walk right out in front of us, but thankfully we knew to drive slow enough so we could stop in time! Just a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature! Can't wait to return next year............
