Comments: First of all, you have to find this place! It is very easy to miss as it is marked only by an old sign the size of postage stamp posted low on a telephone poll on the frontage road. This is an old campground built on terraced hills adjacent to Lake Hartwell. Sites are difficult to access and close together. There appears to be a large resident population. A new Premium section recently opened with paved sites and 50 amps but the paved surfaces were not levelled prior to paving! So now, the new asphalt can be torn up by levellers lifting up rigs! As members, we have visitied many times and never seen staff in the Ranger Station! In fact, the only person evident was a very young lady who checked us in from the Store and failed to mention that the water was shut off inside the campground. We ended up troubleshooting "our" water problem and being informed by a neighboring camper of the campground-wide water shutoff! This is an attractive property and it is too bad that management does not take better care of the basics and members' needs.
