| Short Summary |
National Forest campground in Land Between the Lakes |
Comments: Very large campground that rambles alongside a couple of bays of Kentucky Lake, and up the hillsides. Sites large, fairly well spaced, and include basic (no utilities), elec, elec-water, and full hookup. Nice bathrooms with individual shower rooms on all but the full-hookup loop. Some sites overlook the lake, others are in woods, others on edge of lake & when water level is high could even fish right from the campsite! Very popular, and no reservations allowed, so all sites are first-come, first-served; weekend sites might be difficult to get unless you arrive on Wed. or Thurs. Some of the campground loop roads have tight turns and could be tough for bigger rigs to negotiate. Would definitely camp here again.
