Comments: I thought about not writing a review as we want to keep this place all to ourselves, but gee, my "good" self prevailed. This place is a hidden gem. It would take me too long to write an adequate review--go to the website and read. This park is wonderful and has an active association that schedules activities and entertainment. It has interesting, easy walking trails and an elevated boardwalk around a cypress lagoon. It has a restaurant and museum. It has a huge clubhouse where activities are held. It has narrated tram rides. The campground itself is no great shakes and the interior roads need some maintenance. The worst characteristic is the soft, dark dirty sand which makes a your and your pet's feet filthy. Visit during mild weather to take advantage of the wonderful outdoor experience.
