Comments:
My husband and I have gone to Countryside Campground for the past 2 summers, and intend to go again this year. The park is very well laid out, grassy sites with a pool. The front office has always been very accomodating. The bathrooms and the pool are always very clean. There are picnic tables and fire pits at all sites. Rates are for 4 people per space, and they do charge a few dollars extra if you bring in family and friends to the pool (this keeps the pool traffic down for the paid campers, and is appreciated). To try to keep Camping prices down, they do not charge extra for electricity unless you use your airconditioner, which is actually very seldon in this North Michigan area. The park is easy to find and close approximately 20 lakes in the area. They tend to get many fishermen and boaters as customers. There are around 50 sites, many of them pull-thrus. The town of Harrison is a good stop on the way to Macinaw. We are full-time motorhomers and like to spend the summer in Michigan. This is a very comfortable, family oriented park, and is easy driving to most of the areas we want to visit in Michigan. A very good camping experience that we plan to visit again.
