| Short Summary |
Great place to do seasonal camping |
Comments: We came from a large campground near Lake George. We camped there for over 20 years. It is now corporate owned and has changed, not for the better. We were looking for a family run campground where the owners had pride in their place. We did our homework this summer and research campground within a 3 hour radious. We searched the internet, emailed the owners, read revews and finally did road trips to these places.
Lakeside offered by far amoung all that we visited the most bang for the money. It is a smaller campground, with a smaller lake but the scenery makes up for it and the owners treated us like gold. When you spend more than a week's stay, you get to know the ins and outs of the place. We liked what we saw when we visited enough to move our RV there and try it out and guess what - we signed up for seasonal in 2008 and can't wait.
