| Short Summary |
|
Comments: We have stayed at Silver Summit two times and found it to be one of the best we have stayed at over the years. The scenery is breathtaking; bathrooms are spotless and grounds well kept. Campground is within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Silverton as well as to the Silverton/Durango Train. The campground sits at about 9200 feet. Sites are level gravel with grass. Park is quiet and you will not find entertainment at it; however, they do have jeeps to rent for all the great jeeping trails in the Silverton/Ouray area. We prefer Silverton to the more crowded facilities in Ouray.
