| Short Summary |
Couldn't pay us to visit again! |
Comments: The staff are bitter, unpleasant and flat out rude. We encountered a situation that required our immediate attention. A situation that we took responsibility for and very quickly resolved, above and beyond.
We resolved the issue to the fullest and with no regard from the Manager/Owner. The mgr/owner (old woman) was verbally degrading and pretentious. We vowed from that moment Hidden Paradise would never receive our patronage again!!!
We contended we'd finish out our Memorial weekend at Hidden paradise only to find that aside from a small incident that was "respectfully resolved on our part," there was this:
Their port-o-pots were full most of the weekend. The staff that stocked them with toilet paper must've been off sick, because they had toilet paper about 1 of the 4 days we were there. We're not idiots. We brought plenty of our own in-case.
The showers rarely had hot water and were filthy. Their soft water system was riddled with iron and smelled of rotten eggs so much that you'd rather swim in the lake and risk parasites attaching to your immune system than shower.
Their rates for elec/water sites are a complete rip. I'll spare the rant on that one.
Their general store had supplies that consisted of candy, soda, ice-cream and lawn decor. Nothing that was useful. I could use a tootsie roll to seal a tent, or perhaps taffy in place of duct tape. Supplies that appealed more to a 13 year old and was completely over-rated in price.
Their beady eyed henchmen (staff on carts) would almost stalk you where ever you went. As if we were criminals and not guests.
Apparently from the lack of hospitality the staff displayed, it would be my best estimation that unless you have been a long time visitor or drove in, in an RV you were substandard clientele and courtesy in a professional/welcoming manner is out of the question. This was our 2nd visit to Hidden Paradise, and our LAST!!!
The only positive reflection we had from our Memorial weekend was the fact that we were with our family. We made the most out a horrible experience. The scenery was great. The grounds were well kept.
The best knowledge is that, there are other camp-sites for us to experience. That is refreshing! This place was absolutely pathetic!
We could've wasted our money elsewhere and enjoyed it!
Truly Disappointed,
Loh, Bec & Family!!
